What you can find here

Welcome to the XMPlay Beginner's Guide! That you are here shows that you are interested in getting to know the world's most accurate module player.

This guide will take you through every step in XMPlays' "lifecycle" on a computer - from installation over everyday use and eventually to removal (which will hopefully not be neccessary).

…and what you won't find here

If you are looking for more advanced guides, have a look at the Tutorials. If you cannot find what you are looking for, try the search function. If you still cannot find what you are looking for, please contact XMPlay Support - we will be happy to help you.

Superbe documentation, contemporaine de la version 3.3.0.4, donc. Le top du top serait une version CHM/PDF ;-)

Beau boulot, Thomas !

This has to be one of the most versitile players I have ever used. Does not have a large footprint nor use much resourses. Ihave been using this player for 3 years now and would not switch for anything. Thanks people keep up the good work.

There isn't a better player out there anywhere in "the ether". There's been contenders; but none of my machines has ever gone a day without some version of XMPlay.
There are none better; so just get used to it folks, it's the past present and future of players.
I've been around the net for too many years already, and I am an expert.

I wonder how many who stumble across and install this product (guilty as charged and brain-dead, go ahead and kick me) think it is an "XM Radio On Line" streaming audio product such as XstreamXM and XaMp? For those of you outside North America, XM Satellite Radio is the name of a premium (subscription) radio service transmitted from geostationary satellites to portable and mobile recievers.

Well I have used many players and fix allot of pcs being a pc and network Tech but this is a well made light mediaplayer useing around 5 or so percent of cpu at normal music play man that a ton less than anyone out there crappy microsoft wincrap amp and all the rest and it has so many plug ins that it will play anything and also unlike most small media apps it picks up my 4 speaker system BUT the random and a few other features dont work worth a crap it just keeps going down the playlist I made and I cant do many songs with the players search window before it looses its spot and all the music I had highlighted and then you have to start all over I have only used for a couple of hours so far so I will see if the loop I think thats the repeat function works probably not if the shuffle dont but otherwise a very nice player sound is ok to my very very picky ears but has a lil bit of distortion etc but not to bad for a free and nothing to it type or catigory of application I would put it on my customers pcs and recomend it to solve problems so keep up the work and try to tweek it a little more evan though it tough and a pain on free apps thanks guys

WOW man excellent media player, very small, easy to use, no installation required, clear crisp sound quality, plays all formats, lots of dynamics. The only reason i downloaded it so i could play Unreal Tournament Music - UMX files -, tried so many players but this is the best one. good stuff bro keep it up.

All I have to say is thank you. My Amigas will never die, and nor will Paulas spirit. Even now in 2007 I always am impressed by the power of Paula. Its great to be able to use something thats not CPU hungry, like a mod player should be. Unlike deliplayer and winamp, bloatware.

I regard myself as a musical purist , having been broughtup in a highly musical family. My Father was a brilliant Baritone , and my Mother a qualified classical concert Pianist. What I look for in a Music Player is dynamic balance with no excessive artificial emphasis on some frequency response that the Composer never intended. I also look for the facility to hear instruments ( including the human voice , which is also an instrument ) individually as well as in composite combination. These requirements set a very high standard , and I have tried all the commonly available software with no real satisfaction .. Up to the time I met the XM Player , my personal choicewas the Apollo. However XM has the dynamic gain/balance that is so essential for recorded music translation. Pop music transalation is not so difficultas the dynamics of the frequency range are fairly narrow. However , the XM Player is quite brilliant at classical rendition where the dynamic demandcan be in the extreme. My congratulations to the Programmers on a very nice piece of work , I look forward to future editions of this Program.

Having discovered the sound quality of WMP to be unacceptable for my informal referencing , I recently performed a wide-ranging test of many audio players . With the possible exception of Apollo , I find MXPlay to provide a more accurate sound than others ... and I really enjoy the efficient coding , nad GUI ...

Thanks for caring about quality ....
