Sound Solution v1.31b
by Alessandro Tomassini
posted on 2006-04-14

Powerful DSP algorithms create a multiband compressor-expander-limiter. The multiband processor ouput is further processed by a two band limiter. The preemphasis generator makes your signal ready to be connected to a stereo coder and broadcasted in the FM band.

It is also a perfect choice for DAB diffusion, webcasting, or simply listening to music.

Works well, not confusing but overwhelming to set up, not enough presets. It would be really cool if each existing preset was a range of presets, showing how to get more or less of that compression quailty. Broadcast 1 like '60s classical radio, Broadcast 5 more or less normal before extreme mastering, and Broadcast 10 like extreme sportscasting. Same for Denoiser. Same for Disco. Same for Hard, with a range of Soft presets next to it. The author doesn't have to do this, anyone with enough patience, good enough listening equipment, and good ears can do it.

I got all the settings to work in Windoze 8 yay!! Winamp folder > Winamp application > Right Click > Properties > Compatability > Run this prog in compatability mode for: Windows Vista. Also in Security, I made sure users had full read/write permissions too.

I know you think i'm insane. So do the Doctors; it's why i'm heavily medicated, but please allow me to try something. Perhaps the un4seen people might find somethng here, which could be of some use; to place somewhere on the site. I do hope it helps. I am sincere; Please don't misinterpret what follows for sarcasm, or humor. I am genuinely concerned that some readers might need the explanation. Fire-up a smoke, and have a read, I beg you. READERS! PLEASE TRY TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF A COMMENT; A COMMENTS AREA. THIS IS A PLACE FOR PRAISE, NOT PLEA’s. Having known, or shared housing with people who are not proficient in English, I understand it is NOT obvious. Comments look like forums. People type information. This must be where I receive help! But COMMENTS MUST NOT HAVE QUERY. In the English Language-- a COMMENT must NOT be INTERROGATIVE [ interrogative or query, meaning: a phrase such as a question; a group of words which beg to have the '?' punctuation mark, indicating they require immediate attention, the interrogative demands the one thing which a "Comments" section can never satisfy: A REPLY! THERE IS NO WAY TO REPLY TO QUESTIONS so questions can never be answered! ] -- no matter how one might twist the notion, anything you feel is best written with a '?' at the end does not belong here. Instead, please use the forums-- for the great majority of English discourse there begins as interrogative, and-- we hope-- is followed by a reply which satisfies the interrogative query. Realizing, not every user might wish to praise the greatness of the software, skin, add-on, or other media available for comment, it does not change fact that comments are illogical, if they contain a question. Think of a sports announcer. He or she is known also as a commentator. Few and far between, a commentator might pose a question-- however, we know those as 'rhetorical questions', a more complicated dynamic of English Language which remains logical, as it is not truly interrogative (i.e. I can't believe it took 3 days to learn of the hurricane damage: are we living in the 19th century!?). Comments are generally good-natured thank-you’s, often technically critical in praise, or the opposite-- meant not to anger or hurt the developer, but to assist him or her in diagnostics, for oftentimes only one or two users have poor experience, and the developer might easily determine, for example, if two negative comments came from Win XP SP2 users, then another. Then one updates to XP SP3, and notices something new; completely satisfying about the add-on, plugin, skin-- or, whatever! The developer performs some testing, based on the contextual knowledge, considering known changes between SP2 and SP3, and he identifies a problem in his source code. Thus, by leaving /negative/ commentary, the Users complaints actually led to a much better product, ultimately. A lot of developers will want to see both good AND bad comments-- especially if he or she is a novice programmer. If none of the comments feature complaints, a software might be distributed to very many people, and a bug suddenly arise, causing so many XmPlayers to fail at once, and we don't want that either! It's important Users aren't afraid to leave a complaint. The worst thing, however, to read in a comment is a question. It makes no sense. Users read comments for much the same reason the developers do: to understand something about the design of the software. I am particularly confounded when I see questions placed in comments-- I'm sorry-- it's that I studied English; would have been an English professor had I not pursued the career in music. Music, of course, being the obvious choice when I was faced with the decision. Please feel free to download anything at Last.FM by artist "Jeff Sabarese" (incl. "sOna [US], E-Nation, AM Prophecy", and others.) P.S. Also, this FLASH FORM IS A GODDAMN PAIN IN THE ASS! AHEM... cough cough... developer!?? WTF. No Spell-check. No Unicode (i.e. Alt+1234), it just sucks. There's a reason people don't use it. Clearly. Okay. I'm finished bitching. Surely, there is a reason. Something is made easier this way, I know. Something is more secure; less spam. Whatever. It's a PHP site-- how can I help?! (i also author NoviceNotes.Net )
