Well. Being formerly "affiliated" with the demoscene, and a former organizer/main organizer at The Party in Denmark, I have to say that this is "the" most authentic exotic-MOD and tracker sound produced on a PC. I have composed tracker music for the Amiga and PC. I also played around a little with some of the composing/coding tools on the C64, but never created anything worthwhile on that machine. XMPlay is - for the most part - spot on. Very impressive. Also sorry for not commenting here earlier on. I've been using this fabulous player for so many years now, and I can't come up with anything similar, even close to the reliability of XMPlay. Thanks for this awesome player. I hope you and your family are well, Ian, despite Covid and other insufferable stuff we have to endure these days. Used it even in the DOS aera..Never realised that there could be any updates necessary, so fine so far so good !;\)
even for making quick & NOT dirty snapshots of parts from my MP3 collectioned CD
s or Radio streames ( ..winamped drivers..0 ) Keep this XPLAYER as live as possible
Much better as the VLC player..!

for some reason, xmplay 3.6 sounds better; the default speakers and microsoft sound mapper sounds different; there must be a some change in the exe file; or maybe its just a placebo

Using this player for HighEnd system through ASIO.
Player missing only 180 and -180 Phase invert plugin...
Maybe someone can make that in small floating window with one click Invert phase -180 or normal.

Great player, used it for over 10 years now. Main reason i got it though was becaouse it plays .UMX a music format that Unreal Tournament 1 engine uses. Later on discovered the great equalizer that made music truly enjoyable a unique.

Btw the "xmp-delix" plugin broken in this version.Says "Error: You need at least XMPlay 3.4.0.5". http://dhost.info/pieknyman/html/plugins.html . Can somebody fix it?
