Excelente player, uso ja tem dois anos!!! Melhor que o winamp, jet audio e outros da concorrencia. Ah no windows seven ao arrastar a janela da um bug tipo fica desconfigurado a imagem dele so quando move, Dai coloquei compatibilidade como o Xp e funcionou perfeito... Se melhora este player estraga pq eh excelente.....

After getting a crappy laptop to use at work I was devastated. I was using Songbird as my media player, but it is the most bloated piece of software I have ever used. It was using over 100MB of ram, just playing my music. This laptop just couldn't handle that and many other bloated pieces of software I was using. So I cut back and found Xmplay. It uses no more than 6MB of ram and works just a great as Songbird ever did for me.
Because of this and a few other cut backs I made, this laptop is bearable to use.

No need to install, ONLY 300K, and so simple or so complex as you want it be.
Just click'n play, or configure everything including global shortcut keys.

After several years of using xxx media player rather than the Windoze offering I noticed that over time the app got fatter and fatter. I needed something both capable and lightweight on ram and cpu. XMPlay was the answer.

AWESOME! I didn't realize how awesome this player was until I rediscovered .XM files. This player REALLY is the best digital music player you can ever wish for! It plays old skool files like MO3s, XMs, ITs, S3Ms, and newer files like MP3s and OGGs. It's loads faster and is more compact than the likes of iTunes and Windows Media Player and WinAmp. And I honestly LIKE iTunes. I use it quite often, and while I will keep it on my machine, I am playing more and more MP3s with XMPlay! You really can't beat it! SUPPORT IT!

Quickly becoing my favorite music player due partly to:
* Ease of installation and operation
* Ability to play music INSIDE RAR and ZIP files (with appropriate plugins)
* Does not hog system resources
* Remembers where it left off and allows resume
* ETC.
I own several full featured music applications but find myself reaching for this one to actually enjoy my music.

fogot to add - the lyrics system should be integrated and skinnable, as this is essential thing for songs - when people are having party, and willing to sing, it could just simply apear if lrc fle is present, or to be slidable as equliser. Of course DB links should be as well, maybe even similar to CDDB. xmp source could be available aswell.

very nice player, just don't know why it stops after qued songs finishes, also could have less compact (smaller) play list in HeavyDuty skin. The play list could stick to player to, even so in has these minuses IT IS 10x better than WinAMP -eats less ram, has many plug-ins, has nice que system and search for song posibilities much greater than commercial WinAMP. Just CMPlay could have J alocated for searching

Has been my major music playing beast for years now. Fast to load and minimal CPU load. And to think I just thought it was a good XM / MOD player when I first downloaded it ;-) Wouldn't mind easier access to MOD "stereo width" though (like on the old versions). I miss that feature.

NO memory bloat, fastest than winamp. Custumizable (many skinz and plugins), dockable at TrayMenu
Just one cont:
While oppening many files from windows explorer (selecting all files and pressing Enter key) the playlist gets empty if you change the focus to another app, and continues adding the song that havent been addes.

XMplay doesn't recieve the credit it's worth. Most people who don't use Winamp, Itunes or WMP seem to use foobar. Why is that...? :p
XMplay is the essence of what once made Winamp the best player. What I love most is that it's slim, fast and very usable. While playing in the background on my computer it uses less than 3 400 kb, half of that of Gmail notifier! WMP11 can't even start on less than 45 mb. Integration works great, it has some nice skins, always on top option, global keys, "true" random function and is 110% stable, has *never* given up on me. Genious piece of software.

i used to love winamp back when it was simple and clean because of the SPC plugin and playlist (in WMP6 days), but now its hugely bloated and i hate the popups forcing me to update, and the toolbar rubbish when i install it, and the media library crap, and the annoying media player detector, and the fact that i cant find any decent skins etc etc etc... but XMPlay is so completely different, and its all in a folder without registry crap or installers to bother with, its perfect!! i love you XMPlay!

Давно пользуюсь xmplay. пожалуй, это самый модифицируемый и самый лучший плеер на свете. К нему есть тонны скинов и визуалов. Нет в мире аудио файла который он (не без плагинов) не смог бы прочитать. Скушает всё, от AC3 до WavPack

XMPLAY is my favourite piece of software for playing music. It's small, without all the now popular features like various clumsy media libraries and CD burning.
I don't much like the default weird-looking skin, though. I prefer Windows Classic 2. Also, I didn't find the option to customize e.g. font size...

@LilZack: I have 512 MB RAM - XMPlay almost never takes more than 10 MB of it. It also runs perfectly smooth while playing intense fullscreen 3D games, such as OpenArena. It also works perfectly well while using Photoshop, AfterEffects and other memory hogs. It's not only on my machine - XMPlay works extraordinarily well on every other computer I'm using, even under heavy load, so the issues you're having might come from something else on your machine - or a bad plug-in.

I say, it's a great player, but still foobar2000, took less memory and didn't mix on to my "original" soundcard.(I use two cards and do something,) But still XMPlay is good. Download it, if you have alot of memory and not playing "games" in meanwhile.

Отличный плеер для работы, благодаря скину "Min" (очень компактный и удобный, все кнопки скрыты пока в них нет необходимости - рекомендую!).
Прочие преимущества - совсем не грузит систему, хороший звук ( даже без эквалайзера), удобство использования (не поленитесь почитать мануал).
И конечно - поддержка всех распространённых форматов.
Всё просто. И в этом он лучший.

Much better wthen new winamp, with it`s boring `video support` heavy skins, agents and other terrible `advanced options`. If you like pure music Xmplayer be cool enough, light and clear. You can always use resampling to 48000hz to encrease sound quality for max.

Been using 3.3 for two years and can't fault it.

I minimized to the tray (I think) then right mouse-selected options from the menu of the tray icon, unchecked run in tray and now it wont run as a normal window. (I think that is the correct sequence).
I love xmplay, but at this point am back to winamp.

Nice for MOD, but not good for MP3. As example i try play "aphrodite - spice of the gods (remix).mp3" with SVEN. JetAudio pays more better mp3. I cnow, this is module player, and Mod Player was better too (more good functions).

keep it simple and multiple OS support inside (including 98se) and please add the module loading with the method which is used in MOD4WIN (F key on the directory and it will load recursively recognized modules in and below the all directories from that dir).

you know, its not like you can burn Mp3s or download music from XmPlay, its just that it is so AWESOME to just have a wicked sweet regular old media player
also is good that it is only like half a meg to download, and what is iTunes?? like 25megs??? probibally more...

Excellent player--it is lightweight and works well. Love the fact that it resumes when you restart it. One thing though--the ? button for random play--I can't see when it's on or off. It would be nice to have better status of that.

The best player for XM, IT and others modules from the good'old'miggy. Very well made, few bytes and good quality/performance. It's not a windows tool oriented but more what we could have see on the amiga.

There are so many audio players! Untill I found this fantastic program, there was always something bothering me : too many useless fonctions, no plugin system, .... but xmplay does exactly what you could expect it to do : a marvelous music experience !

I saw it growing up and improve version after version, reaching an outstanding degree of excellence, far away from programs of the same kind. I use it not just as Player but also as Ripper, associated with Lame program. I would like to ask you for something, if it is possible: after executing Play or Ripper, to have an option of "Shut down the PC when DONE". Not used this program since version 1.4 ...Justed tried the latest version....drag and drop onto play list....view patterns while playing mod... easy to navigate messages and sample info.... Intuitive.... Bye bye winamp playback.... ohh and by the way thanks Ian.
