From the HCS website:
"in_cube is a winamp plugin intended to play streamed audio formats found in Nintendo Gamecube games.

If you were using in_dsp or in_adx you should remove them before installing in_cube."

OK. As far as I know, the AW file is a file which holds WAV sounds (needs JaiInit.aaf) The JaiInit.aaf and the AW files are found in a number of Gamecube games (Luigi's Mansion being one of them) To extract that, you will need wwdumpsnd, which can be found here: http://www.hcs64.com/vgm_ripping.html
Just put ALL the AW files with JaiInit.aaf in a seperate folder, run the program, and you should be good to go.

Excellent. I was trying to get the Sonic Adventure 2: Battle soundtrack and to do this, I used:
RawDump 2.0 to rip the ISO from the game disc (you need a certain model of DVD drive)
Dolphin-EMU's ROM filesystem browser to extract the files from the ISO
XMPlay + in_cube (on wine) to convert the files to .wav
This plugin works perfectly. The sound quality is great and it appears to handle looping more or less correctly.

Awesome. This plug-in basically allows XMPlay to render GameCube soundtracks in their native formats. So far, there doesn't seem to be any innacuracies or technical problems, and the plug-in actually uses less memory than HighlyExperimental PSF.
Too bad there aren't many GC rips at the moment, but I'm sure they'll start picking up soon.
