Windows Classic 2 Mini
by Amit
posted on 2021-12-06
This skin uses the ZIP-based system, so the sources are available by opening it in ZIP software.

This skin is designed to run in Mini Mode - it'll switch it's appearance when you hover your mouse over it. You can enable the Mini Mode by double-clicking on the skin (somewhere at a non-button area) or by pressing "M" while XMPlay is active. 4 themes are included.

All-time best! I've used this skin for 15 years.
The small handle right to the "LIST" is the area that you can easily click and drag the window.

Excellent - none better. So small on the screen but so easy to use. Have been using this for about 14 years. Occasionally try other skins but ALWAYS return to this one.

Very well done skin. I have been using it for years. I test out other skins every now and again, but I always come back to Amit's Classic 2 Mini.

А little thinking. 10 years I use XMP and Windows Classic 2 Mini almost 5 years.
10 years has turned out probably because he is so good that should be the default (:

Just in case, anyone needs this info (in other words, if you're a dope like me, lol):
To drag the player around on your desktop, you need to be sure your cursor is pointed right at the very edge (top or bottom) of the player. May seem like a no-brainer to most people, but it took me five minutes to figure that out.

Like the minimalistic design and overall cleared-up structure. It could be a bit more polished, though.

Love this skin. Very unobtrusive, yet very functional. The only modification I would like to see would be to remove (or even better, give the option to remove) the track timer on the blue glass overlay (the counter is a bit distracting). Minor suggestion for a a great skin. Would love to see more minimalistic skins.

Really great concept and it works well. The blue glass overlay is pretty slick too imo. Also the buttons are very nice, a little small though. I agree with what has been said about finding a spot to click on to move it around, switch to minimode, or change skin. One other thing I would change too is make the time font larger. I dont really use equalizers much, besides you can adjust from the options panel or another skin if necessary.

great skin, definitely one of my favs.
I like how the buttons are hid until the mouse is over the player then you have access to the buttons.
moving it isn't that difficult, just click and hold along any of the edges and drag, but not on the buttons.

if you haven't already found out you can either have the song title window visible or hiddin.
just double click the bar on the left side between the extended playlist button and the
volume control slider to show/hide it.

more color choices for the skin would be cool.
the only thing i didn't really like was that to change some options like EQ, reverb, or surround sound etc you have to change to another skind then back again
still a really good skin.
:)

Very nice skin!, as someone pointed it before its kind of difficult to find a clear spot to move the player around, and the "XMP" letters makes the player stand out too much imo.

5 stars anyway, i'd love to see more skins like these in the future (such as a skin that shows only the #-artist-title while unhovered -using all the available space- and the other controls when the pointer hovers over it, i don't even know if thats possible but that would be cool nonetheless)

Fantastic!!!!! that's what i've waited from skin
but too, - not much scape without buttons and stuff so it is quite difficult to move window - is a little problem

Thanks for this great skin!
I love all your Windows Classic skins. :)

Pretty clever! :-) Very minimalistic, yet useful. I give it 4 stars, because it's a bit hard to find a spot on the skin which I can use to move it around.

More of these kinds of skins, please!
