You can achieve compatibility with files prepped with the newest encoder (experimental, not backwards-compatible compression introduced) just by replacing the optimfrog.dll provided in the package, with that used in the newest release (at least for the time being).

Same here, when I installed the dll in the xmplay directory I got the same dialog box warning:
xmplay.exe - Unable To Locate Component
"This application has failed to start because OptimFROG.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

when i installed this plugin i've got an error that 'optimfrog.dll was not found'..
it will be nice if anyone describe what is that dll that is missing :)
