WASAPI plays always in 32bit in shared mode , in exlusive mode its works ok ("use highest available resolution "- is off), my souncard support only 24bit max.

exactly what we want.. though not clear how it can play 32-bit resolution if hardware not support it, eg dac support 24-bit only. with another dac that support 32-bit i see it use cpu usage around 2% though normally with 32-bit/96 it takes 5%. same with asio.

A good plugin, and it does sound different from the ASIO on the X-Fi. And both ASIO and WASAPI plugin bested the standard spk out. Like a few layers of veil being lifted, and the sounded more focus and articulate.

However, not sure if I prefer the sound from ASIO or WASAPI. Like Dynobot has pointed out, the WASAPI does sound a bit fuller and deeper, not by much, just enough to tell there is a difference. But the sound from the ASIO sounded cleaner and less bloated, or appeared a tad more accurate??. It almost like the tube vs bipolar argument.

For now, leaning tiny bit on the ASIO side. It's a tough choice. :)

WASAPI with Exclusive mode
ASIO with Creative ASIO..set hardware sample rate
Win 7 x64.. X-Fi driver 2.18.0015..44.1k.. 24-bit..audio creation mode, bit-matched playback, all effects off and muted all other input sources

Really nice plug-in that sounds great!
Remember to check exclusive mode in options for bit-perfect playback.

sounds great, better than ASIO imo. Lower octaves are fuller, deeper and the music has more depth and rhythm
